A Greenock town centre restaurant is making another attempt to get permission for expansion. The Exchange has submitted a revised plan for an extension.
It features a bar area with extra seating, a larger servery and more toilets.
Inverclyde Council planners last month rejected a plan to enlarge the Tobago Street premises into a yard area at the side of the building.
They said that the loss of most of the yard area beside the building could lead to additional car parking and unauthorised deliveries to the business occurring on adjacent streets “to the detriment of road safety.”
The revised plan also uses the yard area but leaves some off-road space for delivery vehicles.
The application is pending assessment by officials.
