Taste Inverclyde is delighted to announce it will be supporting the Spring Boat Sales Weekend at Kip Marina on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April, offering more opportunities for local food and drink manufacturers to promote their products.
The event will also have a display of high-quality pre-owned boats, new boats and some of Scotland’s leading marine companies exhibiting their latest products.
Adding to visitor interest during the weekend and always popular with Kip berth holders, theTaste Inverclyde Food Market will run in the marquee over both Saturday and Sunday, offering an array of tasty treats from Alba Seafoods, the Damn Fine Cheese Company and many more, including new local food suppliers, supported by Riverside Inverclyde.
RI’s Head of Business Investment, Andrew Bowman, said:
“We are delighted that Riverside Inverclyde, through its Taste Inverclyde food and drink focus, can support this event and provide local food and drink businesses the opportunity to sell their produce, enabling attendees and visitors to enjoy Inverclyde manufacturing.”
Any Inverclyde food and drink businesses interesting in exhibiting should contact Andrew Bowman.
The event is designed exclusively for current and prospective boat owners, with the weekend run in conjunction with Michael Schmidt & Partners’ regular Spring Brokerage event. The changes are following visitor and exhibitor feedback during Scotland’s Boat Show in 2018 which showed demand for an extra event earlier in the year as a counterpoint to the Boat Show.
MS&P’s Roseann Sweeney said:
“We are excited about the new look Spring Boat Sales weekend and believe it will be a top-rated event with boat owners. Michael Schmidt & Partners aim to have a fantastic display of boats for the weekend and, as we already have customers looking to purchase, if you are considering changing or upgrading your boat, now if the time to list with us.”.
As well as the display of brokerage and new boats, the focal point for the weekend will be the large exhibition marquee, situated adjacent to MS&P’s Sales Office at Kip.
Over 20 marine trade companies, including Ashton Marine Services, Fuel Guard, Marine UK Ltd, AJ Yacht Detailing, Marine Blast, Mara Buoy & Jeckells Sailmakers, will offer visitors a preview of the latest equipment ahead of the coming season.
More companies will be outside the marquee with a display from Clyde Outboards and new RIB’s on show from Ultimate Boats with other exhibitors still being confirmed as the event nears.
Kip Marina MD, Gavin McDonagh said:
“We believe that this event is a great way to mark the start of the sailing and boating season here in Scotland and we look forward to working with MS&P and the other exhibitors to make the Spring Boat Sales Weekend a significant event for boat owners and marine companies alike”.
The Spring Boat Sales Weekend at Kip Marina, Inverkip, PA16 0AW takes place 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday 27th, and Sunday 28th April 2019 and admission is free.
