The BBC Good Food Show returned to the SEC in Glasgow for the twelfth year last weekend and this year saw two Inverclyde businesses join the line up – The Start-Up Drinks Lab and The New Chocolate Company.
The Scottish Farmers’ Market has been a welcome and popular feature of the show since it’s inception, providing opportunities for new and artisan start-up companies to be able to exhibit at the nations premier and most prestigious food event.
The three day show attracted over 25,000 visitors and included Chefs, Hoteliers, Deli owners and many other food industry personnel as well as members of the public.
The Start-Up Drinks Lab and the New Chocolate Company proved to be very popular with visitors at the show, with both start-up food and drink businesses being based at Kelburn Business Park in Port Glasgow.
Both have received support to date by Riverside Inverclyde and Taste Inverclyde in line with the aspirations to grow the food and drink sector in the local area.
