Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce has announced a new category for the 2019 Bee’s Knees Awards, with the hunt on to find the Best Inverclyde Food and Drink Business.
The Chamber has created the new category due to the extensive number of Inverclyde businesses are food related, including restaurants, cafes, bars, take-away and street food.
In support of the developing food and drink sector, including manufacturing, packaging, farming, research and development and ultimately Inverclyde produce, the award is open to all types of food-related businesses.
The Bee’s Knees Awards celebrates the fantastic array of local businesses and their successes in the Inverclyde area annually and the 2019 awards were officially launched at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock.
The awards, now in its 16th year, gives companies an opportunity to showcase their resilience, innovation and accomplishments, boasting a variety of different categories and sponsors. They also provide local businesses with the chance to demonstrate their achievements and to receive recognition for them.
Nominations are sought in the following categories:
- Inverclyde Business of the Year
- Inspiring Sole Trader (1-5 employees)
- Outstanding Customer Service
- Inspiring Professionals
- Excellence in Skills and Learning
- Best Use of Innovation and Digital Technology
- Emerging Young Talent
- Most Promising New Business
- Best Food and Drink Business
- Proud to be in Inverclyde
Entries are welcome from companies of any size working in any market sector, just as long as they operate within Inverclyde, have been in business for more than one year and meet the criteria outlined for the categories.
After the closing date on Friday 15 March, a shortlist will be selected to present to the judging panels which will choose three finalists and a winner in each category.
A representative from each finalist will be a guest of Inverclyde Chamber at the Bee’s Knees Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in the Marquee at the Chartroom, Kip Marina, on Friday 7 June 2019, where business leaders will unite to celebrate the success of Inverclyde business and hear the winners announced.
