An application to turn the former Greenock Dock Workers’ Club premises into a function suite has been approved.
The proposal for the Tobago Street building was submitted by REOS Ltd which owns the the neighbouring restaurant The Exchange and Cruden Hall.
Documents submitted to Inverclyde Council planning department show a lounge area on the ground floor and a function suite upstairs.
Signage on drawings refers to the premises as the Clyde Suite and Thistle Suite. The plans include putting up front and side canopies and installing French doors.
The change-of-use application has been given the go-ahead by planning officers. The Dockers’ Club closed last year because of falling membership.
