Food Review: West Bar & Kitchen
Following its rebrand and launch, Taste Inverclyde ventured out to visit WEST Bar & Kitchen on West Blackhall Street in Greenock.
Having read about its recent transformation, WEST promised to provide a lively atmosphere for all whilst serving an amazing array of home-made dishes with a difference.
We have been looking forward to sampling this for ourselves and we loved it from the moment we walked in! It is very aesthetically pleasing with a refreshing and amazingly warm industrial vibe.
After trawling through a wide and varied menu, we settled on WEST’s Nachos as an appetiser topped with pulled pork. It was delicious and very filling and the perfect start to our meal.

With WEST’s transformation into a grill house, we decided to sample the ‘Classic WEST Burger’ and ‘The Porkies Revenge Burger’ and a side of Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
We were staggered by the quality of both of the meals. All the ingredients were so fresh and the presentation was very fitting with the updated aesthetics.
The WEST team has their own motto which is ‘SAY YES TO ALL’ and we couldn’t agree more! The quality of the food was outstanding with a warm and friendly service.
The restaurant was really accommodating and our experience was very worthwhile – Taste Inverclyde definitely recommends a trip to WEST.
We’re hoping to try out the WEST brunch menu next…we’ll just have to work on getting there early enough!
